La Fondation Mines Paris organizes a webinar on Thursday, December 14, 2023, starting at 6:30 PM, on the theme “Meeting our Energy Needs: 2050 Starts Today.” [The original title in French: « Couvrir nos besoins énergétiques : 2050 se prépare aujourd’hui »]
This webinar will be conducted by Pierrick DARTOIS, Engineer from the École Polytechnique and Engineer from the Corps des Mines, and moderated by Marc FOSSIER, Engineer from the Corps des Mines, graduating class of 1978.

In 2023, Pierrick DARTOIS and Marie SUDERIE published « Couvrir nos besoins énergétiques : 2050 se prépare aujourd’hui », a work stemming from their research during their training with the Corps. This book offers a comprehensive prospective overview of possible energy mixes by 2050 and illustrates the economic relevance of an electric mix based on ambitious development in both nuclear and renewable energies.
The study, supported by scenarios, presents the magnitude of the challenges to be met in order to fulfill the requirements of energy transition and carbon neutrality.
