For the second consecutive year, The Transition Institute 1.5 is launching a call for thesis proposals open to faculty members at Mines Paris – PSL and PSL University.
Projects must be submitted by midnight on March 31, 2024.
Required conditions
Submitted projects must meet several criteria:
- Align with one of TTI.5’s research axis
- Involve a graduate student (thesis) or postdoc; the candidate may be selected at a later stage
- Be interdisciplinary in nature (two advisors from different disciplines belonging to two separate PSL departments, at least one of which must be at Mines Paris – PSL)
- In the case of a Ph.D., the primary doctoral school must be affiliated with Mines Paris – PSL
- Not be subject to confidentiality restrictions.
Proposed Funding
The funding proposed by The Transition Institute 1.5 will cover the doctoral student’s or postdoc’s salary and an additional €5,000 per year (or a maximum of €15,000 for a three-year doctoral program) to be used for the purchase of equipment, expenses related to conference attendance, etc.
The Transition Institute 1.5 will not provide additional funding. It is up to the project leaders to find an additional source of funding elsewhere if the project requires it.
