Organization and operation

Our aim is to maintain a systemic approach and a global vision to tackle the complex issue of
the transition. For that reason, and to ensure that we cover a wide range of disciplines at
TTI.5, it is essential to dynamically involve all internal actors at Mines Paris – PSL, as well
as to include national and international networks of excellence.

To integrate internal networking and consolidation between centers at the Mines Paris – PSL
while ensuring our outreach, the institute operates through broader governance.

Internal actors :

Body Role Organisation
Direction (Decision-making) The Institute is directed by
Professor Nadia Maïzi, who is responsible for
structuring the Institute, setting up its funding
and its scientific policy.
She coordinates the Institute’s various entities
and ensures its national and international
integration. She takes operational decisions.
Internal
Monitoring
Committee
(Decision-making) This committee is in charge
of the Institute’s scientific policy and ensures
its implementation: it sets up selection juries,
coordinates and carries out regular monitoring
of the Institute’s work, and validates the budget
and its allocation.
Teachers / researchers and
students of Mines Paris –
PSL, and representatives
of common departments
TTI.5 Team (Executive) The TTI.5 team supports the board
with operation, management, coordination,
dissemination, and fund-raising activities.
Research

External actors:

Body Role Composition
TTI.5
Committee
(Consultative) Three times a year, it brings together all of the TTI’s patrons, as well as observers and stakeholders invited
by the TTI.5’s management. It is a forum for discussion,
exchange and debate. The discussions – which shed light on
key issues, concrete problems and realities on the ground –
provide an opportunity to discuss and enrich the research
questions addressed by the Institute and to interact on how to
disseminate their results.
