The Transition Institute 1.5 has the privilege of participating in COP 28, scheduled to take place in the United Arab Emirates in Dubai in December 2023.
Our institute has been represented through the booth of the Chair in Prospective Modeling for Sustainable Development at Mines Paris – PSL, located in the blue zone at booth number 44, from December 10 to 11.
This booth showcased the activities of the Chair related to long-term modeling of energy and climate issues. It will serve as a platform for exchanging ideas on climate policies and their impacts on North/South societies, the transition to low-carbon energy, including specific considerations on achieving greenhouse gas neutrality.
The COP – United Nations Climate Change Conference – is the annual gathering of states to set global climate goals. The objective is to establish, among other things, a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, recognized as a factor in global climate warming. This is the 28th COP.
Last year, The Transition Institute 1.5 participated in COP27, which took place in Egypt in Sharm El Sheikh
